H&M Wants!

Ah why do Hennes keep sending me catalogues - their site is bad enough yet I always seem to find lovely pieces in their catalogue that I seem to miss on-line.

This coat is tres chic and I'm in love with its classic cut and the belt that cinches in your waist. Perfect for the cooler Autumn/Winter months ahead. I just can't decide between the beige or black!

This dress is also a must - again its a classic cut, perfect with tights and a sack load of accessories. I'm loving the statement Dalmatian print too - H&M are also doing these in many other colours if you aren't keen on the print.

Hennes this Autumn is all about the 60's glamour, so get your beehive ready. The colour theme is total Autumnal, a marvellous multitude of mauves, mahoganys and mulberry hues. Get your accessories together and stack your bracelets high, adorn your pinkies with huge cocktail rings, make a statement in monochrome print leggings or smart shorts with ankle boots, and dress up in a cute peplum top (totally bagging the dalmatian print one).

Vinyl!

So for me vinyl in its transparent form conjures up memories of a bag I owned when I was 19 that was made of records covered in vinyl. Lipgloss, mobile and purse visible for all to see - genius idea! One night after a dozen too many WKD's, my dear friend came to my rescue. She picked me up and to cut a long story short, whilst I was in the back of her car I proceeded to vom in said bag. So gross and so mortifying - that's me off vinyl for life!

Now the thought of transparent vinyl on shoes in theory doesn't sound good (I just imagine sweaty, hot, stripper feet) but Christian Louboutin has worked his magic on these little beauties. The Louboutin Bis un Bout's are the sell out shoe of the moment after being showcased on Rihanna and Alicia Keys at the Grammy Awards in Feb! Kimmy K owns several pairs in several colours and Kristen Stewart rocked (my fave) a neon yellow pair dressed up with smart trousers and a cropped top.
Topshop have also produced some everyday pumps with some vinyl inspiration - also sold out I might add! I totally love these - not sure how much use I'd get out of them however. Here are a few other see through bits and pieces..

Seen any other transparent vinyl accessories? Is vinyl just too stripper for you?

Primark A/W Collection 2012...

I know that we shouldn't be talking about Autumn/Winter yet, but to be honest what with all this rain, I've kind of given up on Summer! Saying that however, it is rather warm today and I've dug out my loose maxi skirt and a vest in order to keep myself cool! Let's see how long this lasts....

But back to the cooler weather, I'm very much looking forward to stocking up on some warm knitwear, new boots and some staple winter wardrobe essentials. Primark's collection this winter isn't a bad selection although it is massively taken over by houndstooth, they've included the pattern on coats, skirts, jumpers and dresses.

The range has a very Autumnal feel to it with dark, rich blues and reds present throughout most of the collection. A colour pop of neon is included throughout the accessories and knitwear sections and the 'love them or loathe them' high wedge trainers are available in an array of designs and colours. Prints on trousers are going to be big this Autumn so grab yourself a pair of statement trousers - a definite must have!

The infamous 'safari jacket with leather sleeves' that sold out über fast at Zara seems to have inspired the guys at Primarni. I'm so glad I don't have to beat the queues to get my hands on this version - I managed to snap a very similar jacket at a boutique in my village. More on that in my next post..

What do you think of the collection? Anything taken your fancy?

Chloe Dupes!

I'm sure fashionistas and bloggers alike will remember those beautiful studded Chloe boots that celebs were snapping up back in 2009! In fact they sparked a bit of a 'Who wore it better?' debate between Kate Bosworth and Sienna Miller who were seen pictured wearing these booties an awful lot! And for nearly a grand a pair, who can blame the girls for getting their moneys worth out of them.

The beautiful Susannah boot was relaunched by Chloe back in 2008 in a number of glorious colours.. My favourite would have to be the red!! Dressed down with skinny jeans or dressed up with a cute dress, either way these boots are uber cool without even trying.

The lovely guys at Zara seem to have taken inspiration from the Susannah and produced these little beauties at a snip of the price. A pretty good dupe don't you think? They are still available online at Zara - http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-S2012-s/245144/828094/ANKLE%2BBOOT%2BWITH%2BSTUDDED%2BTOE

The Chloe boot just takes the edge for me though, the triple strap across the front and the slightly higher heel are much more my style. So unless I get my hands on some serious cash I;m afraid I won't be parading my pins in these beauties. C'est la vie!

What do you think of Zara's dupes? Have you seen any other versions?

Disco in Pants!

Disco pants are the trouser of the moment! They were bang on trend back when Sandy in Grease graced our screens and they are most definitely back with a bang now. These high shine, stupidly tight trousers have been flying off American Apparels shelves for quite some time now. Jessie J has flaunted her ridiculously endless legs in numerous colours and all manner of other celebrities are squeezing themselves into these super tight trousers!

This is a trend that I'm still not sure of though, you need to tick a few boxes in order to pull this look off. For a start you preferably need to be under 25, long legged, lean and require a decent looking bum to pull these off. Liz Jones (the Daily Mail's eccentric columnist) has written an article today asking the nation 'Are you brave enough to pull them off?'.

Well Liz the answer from me is a no! It took me a while to latch on to the legging/jegging craze due to the fact that my calves resemble that of Henry VIII - I blame years of ballet lessons when I was younger! And as I already own a pair of high shine leggings (or bin bags as the other half calls them) I think that these will have to suffice.

At £70 these must have trousers seem a bit steep, get yourself on Ebay as there are loads of duplicates out there. Very is rocking these in 3 lovely colours at the moment.. and a snip at £35 - http://www.very.co.uk/e/q/high-shine-trouser.end?cmtag=o&_requestid=252737

Do you like these trousers? Own a pair? Not a fan?

Zara Shoes..

I can not gush enough about Zara's collection of shoes. Strangely I've never purchased a pair in store, but before I went away with my partner I looked online and fell completely in love with an orange, nude and black sandal. This shoe is now sold out online. More recently I purchased a pair of nude and black heels which was an absolute bargain in their sale, and still available in a few sizes. I must stress their sale has to be looked at, lots of decent items still available. Check it out at www.zara.com

Zara shoes are a really good quality, despite what I put them through on a night out they always hold out on me. They are a reasonably comfortable fit and feel very sturdy and the pairs I own have a real good shape to them, making my little legs look good. Yay!

Here are some other pairs that are not in the sale but are totally worth a purchase. I want all 3! Now please!

If you've not had a look through their site then I urge you to do so. You won't be disappointed!

Join the Garnier Ultralift Challenge!!

So after seeing an advert on TV for Garnier's new Ultralift Challenge, I thought sod it I'm going to get involved. I'm nearing the dreaded 30 and if I'm being totally honest I'm slowly accepting that things are starting to sag.

Basically you sign up and Garnier send you 14 sachets of Ultralift Cream. They hope you 'feel and see the difference in 2 weeks!'. I'm sure customers do too! The funny thing about this challenge is that you get a 'Wrinkle Reader' to compare your crows feet against and then after the 14 days use it to assess any improvements. Well... my wrinkles are flipping non existent if this reader is anything to go by. I think this challenge is possibly aimed at the more maturer woman, but hey, I'm doing the challenge anyway!

Have you tried it? Give it a go at http://www.garnier.co.uk/_en/_gb/ultralift/challenge/index.aspx

Let me know how you find it. I'll be keeping you posted in 14 days.

Jameela Jamil at Very...

The stunningly beautiful Blossom-esque Jameela Jamil has launched a clothing collection at Very. Now there are quite a few celebs doing this at the moment, Very seems to be snapping up all sorts of lovelies to boost their clientele. Fearne Cotton, Holly Willo-booby, Diana Vickers, Coleen Rooney to name a few are all on their 'Exclusive Brands' list.

Most of this stuff always seems to be a high street look for a much higher price-tag. However I did take a look at Jameela's collection and I liked what I saw. It ranges from casual, slouchy cardigans and tees to elegant dresses and blouses. Jameela states 'I’ve designed a collection of quirky glamour for every winter wardrobe. I wanted to make a collection that women would feel beautiful in – only boring women don’t get fat in the winter!’. True dat!! Check these pictures of Jameela at the launch. Absolutely stunning!

There was one piece that caught my eye, this stunning red puff shoulder shirt. I absolutely love it and for £35 it really isn't that bad a buy. I love that you can wear this with almost anything.. jeans, high waisted skirt, waistcoat or under a dress.

Love, love, love...

Have you seen the collection? Yay or Nay?

Crazy for Camo!

I've always been a lover of anything green. Camo green is obviously no different and I'm massively into it at the moment. You can dress a cute jacket up or down and I love the mixture of all those different shades of colour. I prefer the jackets a little baggy with the sleeves rolled up for that casual look that I tend to exude all day every day!

I'm trying to hold out and find a bargain on EBay, I'm hoping to customize it with a few studs. However there are some great buys at Topshop, Ragged Priest and Urban Outfitters. (Pictures in that order...)

What jacket do you prefer? Are you loving camo?
