Olsen Twins at Stylistpick...

My blog has taken a serious back seat recently. I hate not being more on top of things, more committed to my hobbies instead of being a lazy bum when I have some free time. Life seems to be going way too fast at the moment.. My maternity leave is nearly up, my return to work is literally round the corner, exciting (and even more tiring) times ahead!

So the gorgeous and ever so stylish Olsen twins launched a clothing range for Stylemint in the US a few months back, and now thanks to Stylistpick (the same site that Cheryl Cole launched her shoe range), us Brits now have the pleasure of getting involved in the new collection. It's simple, slouchy, jersey styles that the twins love and it is a more affordable range than their high-end collection The Row.

Grazia, Vogue and the Daily Mail called the collection ‘gorgeous’ ‘stylish’ and ‘amazingly versatile’ and I have to agree. It's simple but stylish and very reasonably priced. Emma Roberts and Rachel Bilson are fans and so am I!

I purchased three items (for the moment), a simple grey and white tee, a white and red polka top and a dip hem grey skirt. I also took advantage of a 20% off promotion that Stylistpick was running at the time so I ended up with a bit of a bargain haul.

I definitely recommend you checking the range out whilst it's in stock - http://www.stylistpick.com/clothing - There are 25 pieces in total so plenty to catch your eye!

What do you think of the collection? Too simple? Just right? Purchased anything?

Fudge it up!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I last wrote a post for my blog. I must admit that severe laziness set in when we were having our very short spell of nice weather and as a result my lovely blog got put on the back burner. I've now had my much anticipated weekend away and as I'm feeling refreshed (kind of) I'm getting back on this blog business!

Obviously I've been buying bits during my month off blogging and I'll be sharing these purchases with you in future blog posts, so stay tuned. I wanted to share a fantastic hair product that I've discovered recently in today's post. I appreciate this product isn't for everyone but I'm a serious fan. I have thick (and I mean really thick) naturally wavy hair and I have zero time to do anything with it most days.

This Salt Spray from Fudge is perfect for me. They recommend that you use the product on damp hair and spritz on at the roots and work through your hair. I do this every now and then, but seeing as my hair is a nightmare to dry at the best of times, the less I wash it the better. So I simply brush my day old hair through in the morning, spray this through my hair lightly and scrunch at the ends. The classic Pina-Colada smell that Fudge products have really freshen your hair up. Job done!
Minimal effort, boho just-got-out-of-bed look achieved! You like? You used this or any other salt-sprays? Thoughts?

Tropical Shine!

If there's no holiday on the cards for you this year then there is only one other way to put a smile on your face.. rock some tropical print! It's hit the stores and it's hit them hard - prints are everywhere! I feel like I'm totally rocking the 'Club Tropicana' vibe in these stunning trousers from Next. I would have usually teamed these with a plain black tee and a blazer (staple get up when you're wearing something lairy!), but I think that this gold shiny top from H&M compliments the colours in the trousers perfectly.

I wasn't sure about this top at first, it's a lovely fit but the material is see through and it feels a bit plasticy (it's hard to explain, if you've seen it then you'll know what I mean). However it's grown on me massively and I adore the shine it gives off in these pictures. I've messed about with the look and stuck a belt around the middle to dress it up a bit. I've always been a fan of 'off the shoulder' style tops and knitwear. Love 'em!

I'm loving that this week is going quickly and also reveling in the fact that some sun may actually appear this weekend. My long requested walk in the woods will flipping happen!!

Statement Wedges!

Goodness there are some lovely shoes available on the high street at the moment. Wedges seem to be my flavour of the month though, everywhere I look I see lovely styles teamed with the coolest of tropical and colourful prints.

Here are some of my favourites on the high street at the moment. These babies are bound to make a statement...

Sold Out..

Here's hoping that everyone had a good Bank Holiday weekend. The weather was pretty rubbish but I had a nice relaxing time with the family. I've finally booked up a weekend away and I can't wait to put my feet up and catch up on some sleep. Roll on!

I've been catching up on some fashion in the glossy mags recently and find myself wondering when the hell did fringing make a comeback? To be honest I've never really been a fan of fringed clothing, I find it a bit too Pocahontas for my liking. However saying that I do own a few accessories with fringing detail. These shoes have to be among one of my favourite pairs, I bought these from ASOS a few years ago. I had a phase of being obsessed with peep toes back then and these were one, of a few pairs, purchased. Love the heel height, the mink colour and the fringing that goes down the front of the shoe.

Thought I'd keep my outfit simple so I slung on some leggings, my 'Sold Out' slogan tee from ASOS and a baggy denim shirt that I bought from Next a while back. I think this is a size 16, I prefer the baggy look when it comes to shirts! My clutch is a recent purchase from H&M, loving the neon pink colour pop (the picture really doesn't do the colour justice) I think this is about the only day-glow item I own.. I can't stand it normally! It also feels divine, so smooth and soft, it's a brilliant imitation leather feel.

Garden Necklace..

So I was banging on about Kenneth Jay Lane's jewellery the other week. It's exquisite work and I'm gutted I don't have a bigger bank balance so that I could indulge.. C'est la vie!

Imagine my delight though when I saw his Garden Necklace. It's so similar to my flower necklace that I brought from Next a few years back.

Can you spot the high street from the designer? Which do you prefer?

In case it's not obvious by the glaring difference in picture quality.. Kenneth's is the bottom one.. I think I prefer mine though. I just love the ladybird and butterflies on it.. Far more detail!

Lady in Red...

It's been a while since I've written anything with a little substance on my blog. Apologies! It was a pretty hectic weekend, I decided to get my hair cut and coloured on Saturday. I took the plunge and got the dip-dye done, although my ends look a little auburn I'm very pleased with the results. It's an edgy look though and I'm not sure how long I'll keep it before I get bored. Then on Sunday my daughter turned 6 so a lot of celebrating was had - goodness knows where 6 years have gone! This week has been a quiet one so far but hopefully looking to book some time away with the hubby real soon.

Spotted this lovely dress in Choice the other day and had to get it. I don't own anything red, which is quiet strange as I have a lot of clothes. I've always wanted a red dress and this one is just perfect. It's a lovely fit and I adore the pleats on the skirt and the lace detailing on the upper part of the dress. I decided to team it with my favourite leopard print ankle boots and my ever loyal leather cropped jacket from Lipsy. I always wear this jacket, come rain or shine, and it still looks brand new! I love it.. Although I wish it was a bit longer on the colder days..

Should every girl have a red dress?
