Rick Owens Sunglasses...

God I love Kimmy. I get a lot of stick for admitting it, but sod it! She's a machine, the woman works non-stop and looks flawless time and time again. Oh to have her endless supply of assistants on hand to prune and preen me on a daily basis eh?

Recently the lovely Kim has been under a major Kanye makeover and has been rocking these Rick Owen shades, which can only be described as 'oversized'. And that's putting it mildly!! They are an immensely huge visor frame with a mirror finish on the lens to reflect those paparazzi shots..

What do you think? How big is too big?

Movember!

After talking my manager into growing a moustache for Movember, I thought that I'd promote this amazing cause through the medium of a blog post. Not like its unheard of though eh Mary?

Seriously though, this charitable event started back in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength since. £22million was raised last year alone for men's charities Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research. It's a perfect opportunity to remind the hubby to cop a feel of his baubles.. If he's anything like mine he won't need reminding - his hands are permanently down his pants! Or you could always volunteer your services.. All in the name of charity guys/girls ;)

With a ridiculous amount of clothing and accessories now sporting the 'tash' trend there's really no reason why everyone can't get involved.

Here are a few of my fave tash-tastic pieces. None of these items donate money to the charity, so do your bit and visit http://uk.movember.com/ to make a donation.

Alexander McQueen Visor!

So after visiting the 'Framed' exhibition at the London College of Fashion last Friday, I couldn't not share this with you. Anyone who followed Fashion Week would have seen some mental futuristic visors on McQueens models. Now usually catwalk creations don't really bode well in retail stores, however these may just be an exception!

Dubbed the 'visor shades' by fashionistas, the frame was worn by seriously glam models at the fashion houses 2012/2013 catwalk. It gave the collection a futuristic feel and with celebs like Lady Gaga and Rihanna pushing the boundaries on 'extreme' eyewear, it's likely that you may well see these visors on a face near you!

The frames are still available on alexandermcqueen.com for approx $400. They are UV protected and despite the mirror effect, the frames are completely see through.

What do you think of these? Should they have stayed on the catwalk?

Monki Jumpers!!

It's surprised me how many people knew little about this funky fashion brand. I'd stumbled across Monki a few months back whilst I was on Twitter. I had an inkling that it was a Scandinavian company and after collaring the lovely Swedish ladies at work about it we finally confirmed that it is.. Born and bred in Sweden and launched worldwide!!

My first Monki purchase was a lovely blue Josephine dress which was perfect in the Summer - now to be teamed with cardi's and thick tights. This dress is now sold out - although possibly available on Ebay!

I love the quirkyness of their clothes. Quite a few pieces on their website have an oversized feel to them (I ordered my dress in a Medium and it was a bit big), and I especially love oversized clothes in the winter. Layering is the only way forward!

There is a mid season sale that still has some nice pieces at reasonable prices. I highly recommend that you visit the site and make a purchase, you get a free magazine with your purchase also - www.monki.com

Seeing as it's freezing here I've been browsing the chunky oversized knits on Monki's site and here are a selection of my fave picks -

Totally wish I had one of these bad boys on today instead of this silly thin lumberjack shirt.. Brrr!

What do you think of Monki's stuff? You purchased from them before?

Knitwear!

All I can think about at the moment is knitwear! Warm jumpers, big cardies, snoods and thick woollen tights. Lovely jubbly! With the nights closing in and Christmas not far away it's time to invest in some warmer clothes. I can't stop looking for jumpers at the moment and this is a lovely little purchase from trusty old Next.

It is a lovely fairisle pattern jumper that's available in either blue or grey. It would be perfect with some skinny jeans and a pair of winter boots. I love the colouring in the pattern that runs through the middle of the sweater. It's an absolute steal at £20!

I think I prefer the grey over the blue. What do you think?

Regrets...

Oh how I regret selling my Zara tote. I asked the other half to get me one for Christmas, which he did. But after 2 weeks of not using it, and with his permission, I put the bag on eBay. Why did I do this?! I blame it on the post pregnancy nuttiness!

Anyways, for the tote lovers out there the bag is still available from Zara - http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-W2012/269203/873043/PLAITED%20SHOPPER

They've also designed a fab studded version in black and a lovely leopard print version for the ladies who love to make a statement!!!

Just in time for this Christmas's wish list.

Zara Safari Jacket Dupe...

Sorry for being M.I.A. I've recently gone back to work, albeit 3 days a week, but life is moving way too fast! I can't believe it's been over a month since my last blog. So here I am, day off and children quiet and I'm blogging on the go. I love the app on my iPhone.. Genius gadget for lazy old me!

So do all you fashionistas remember the sold out Safari jacket with leather sleeves at Zara? Well it seems to have hit other stores in the high street... Hard! I've wanted the jacket since I saw, and missed, it on Zara's website. I then looked on eBay and with prices ridiculously hiked up, classic eBay, I thought I'd never get my hands on this jacket. Can you believe they are selling for nearly three times the price. Ridic!!!

Anyways I was strolling down my high street and a lovely little boutique called Tickled Pink had this jacket in the window. It's an awesome dupe and for £40 I'm glad I picked it up. The safari material has a casual feel but the PU sleeves are a nice slim fit and really jazz the jacket up. It's perfect with jeans and heels or dressed down with leggings and hi-tops!

Topshop, River Island and Primark have also brought out versions of this jacket. You can see from the pictures below how similar they all are.

From the top -
Primark version approx £25
River Island version £55
Zara version SOLD OUT!

What do you think is the best dupe? I really like the River Island version with the rolled up sleeves! Do you prefer the camo jackets to this safari style? Any other jackets that have caught your eye?

Till next time.... M x
